Selling cookies is a tradition that dates back as early as 1917 when Girl Scouts® began selling home-baked cookies to raise money to help their troop and community. In 1936, Girl Scouts of the USA began licensing cookie bakers. Since then, the selling of Girl Scout Cookies® has grown into a highly successful program that helps girls learn and practice important leadership skills while earning proceeds for their team and council activities

Girl Scout Cookie activities offer a wonderful opportunity for family adults to help girls learn about goal setting, project planning, communication and teamwork. These are skills that will last a lifetime and it all starts right here. And while girls are learning these very important things, both parents / guardians and their daughters are also having fun and enjoying one another's company!
